Battle of the Sexes
Friday July 18th, 2014



Who: 2 person teams (either M,M or F,F), open to 80 teams

What: 4 partner workouts, Top 12 teams make it to the finals

When: 7/19/14, First WOD starts at 9am.  Registration is open NOW.  Early registration discount of $20 for first 30 teams (Fee = $105/team)

Why: Pit Male Teams against Women Teams all in one competition.  Programming will be such that male teams and female teams will all be on one scoreboard.  We will have separate scoreboards as well, but we want to see how this battle of the sexes shapes out.

How: $125 registration fee per team.  

Prizes: Overall Winning Team (could be male or female) $500, Top Finishing Male Team (other than overall winner) $250, Top Finishing Female Team (other than overall winner) $250.


WOD 1

 

10 min AMRAP For total Reps, 1 person working at a time.
60 KB Swings 53/35# - Russian Swings
50 Box with mandatory step down 24/20”
40 Pullups
30 Front squats 115/75#
20 Over the Bar Burpees
10 Snatch 115/75#
20 Over the Bar Burpees
30 Front squats 115/75#
40 Pullups
50 Box jump with mandatory step down
60 KB Swings

 

WOD 2

10 min AMRAP
100 Double Under Buy In - can be split up any way the team wishes
3 rds of:
20 Partner Wall Balls, 20/14#, 10/8ft target (Standing next to each other 1 throws, 2 catches, 2 throws…..)
15 Partner Burpees (Hands touch at bottom of burpee)
10 Partner T2B, Both partners must be hanging from the bar at the same time for one partners reps to count.
100 Double unders
*if you finish the second set of 100 DU’s start the 3rds again in any remaining time of the ten minutes

WOD 3

8 min AMRAP, one person must complete the complex before partner can touch the bar.
5 Shoulder to Overhead
7 Hang Squat Cleans
@ 95#/65#
*Athletes CAN go for multiple rounds if they want to, but once they start a round, they must complete it.
**Can go straight from power cleans to S2OH without setting the bar down.

WOD 4

9min For Reps
Each partner working in 30 second Intervals
3 minutes of Shuttle Runs
3 minutes of Thruster (empty bars 45/33#)
3 minutes of Slamballs

Each will perform 3 intervals of each movement. Score is total reps.

 

*Scaling is allowed, but it will eliminate your chances from competing in the finals and getting on the podium. 

Refund Policy: Refunds will be granted on an individual basis.  You must e-mail info@lex-artis.net to request a refund.  21 days, or shorter, prior to the event the maximum refund will be 50% of registration cost.  10 days, or shorter, prior to event no refunds will be granted.  All tickets may be transferred, you must e-mail info@lex-artis.net with all new athletes information if you do transfer your ticket.
